This position is a great doorway into politics and to begin your career or change its trajectory. This is a rewarding career because you will assist with projects at every level of politics and have a front seat to the American electorate unmatched by any media outlet or social media platform. Your role would include but not limited to:

  • Develop survey instruments and analytics scripts,
  • Proof for grammar and data inaccuracies,
  • Build data charts and tables,
  • Produce presentations and memos using PowerPoint, Excel, and SPSS (SPSS knowledge not required but you will learn it)
  • All in an effort to give clients a competitive edge over their opponent (s);

Qualifications:

  • Has a passion for Republican politics, campaigning, and winning elections;
  • College Degree or Equivalent Experience,
  • Attention to Detail,
  • Ability to Multi-Task,
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Does not fear numbers or trying new technologies. We love to teach and help you grow your skillset;
  • Can clearly and intelligently communicate him/herself in writing,
  • And most importantly: to have a strong desire in being instrumental, big or small, in shaping our country through the conservative political movement.

Should have:

  • Strong math skills;
  • Be organized, and have a track record of competitiveness and/or winning whether in politics, sports, or the spelling bee;
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced office setting with collaboration, debate, and Nerf gun fights.

Good to Have:

  • Working knowledge of statistical packages such as SPSS or R will put you ahead of the pack. A willingness and desire to learn will put you ahead just as much.
  • Took coursework in two or more of the following: political science, public policy, statistics, computer sciences or programming, sociology, government, international relations, communications, business, economics, or any blended coursework that teaches qualitative and quantitative research concepts.
  • Coding languages such as R, Stata, Python, and SQL.

Benefits:

    This position is an entry level position that typically starts around $40,000 base salary and is commensurate with experience. In addition to your base salary, you will receive a quarterly incentive based on the company’s success that quarter. WPA pays 60% of your medical, dental and vision insurance. We also offer a retirement 401K match at 4%. Finally, WPA has a flexible time off policy as well as snacks and coffee provided the office.
